Looking at a blank page. Once the words start coming and the fingers get busy typing, then I feel free and on another writing journey where anything can happen.
Do you mean the process of writing itself? You know what, if you are a serious writer and passionate about it, there is NO such thing as "favourite" parts. Everything flows naturally. An entire story is useless without all the parts in. As a writer proceeds through his/her work there is always that feeling of momentum or heightened excitement until the story ends. So, you cannot say that "this part of so and so is something I don't like much."
However, if you write only out of obligation, or someone forced you into it, then you will never really appreciate the beauty of the writing process, at all. Also, if your mind is not focused on what you are doing, you will definitely get lost right in the middle of your work. Or worse, you produce a mediocre output. And this does not apply only to writing, but in everything else that you do. And, I should say that such an issue is more of an attitude problem of the person concerned than the task itself.
Actually, I don't know what kind of writing you are into that you have to ask about favorite or least favorite parts.
On the other hand, if you are talking about challenges encountered (in the task), I could say that a Writer's block is the thing I hate because it derails my schedule. And I think this is the most common concern among writers.
The thing that I don't like about blogging is finding a image or video to go with the blog post that is free for commercial use or certified by Creative Commons.
My least favorite thin about writing is I ca't write if it hot and sunny. Weather has a huge impact on my mood, hence my writing.
