Developing countries still rely on Print and Radio as their primary media, which proves that it will be a while before Online Advertising be able to make its mark in those markets.
Outdoor Advertising are more effective in developing countries too.
With the advent of technology such as Google Glass, it will still be a while before these countries catch up on simpler technology like Wi-Fi and computer usage in general - which would mean, it will take time, but its not impossible for Online to dominate Advertising.

I believe online advertising and generally online marketing campaigns (especially in social media) are gaining popularity as we move along but we are still far from them taking over the traditional methods simply because they are still reaching out to a higher number of recipients.
From the other hand however, I strongly believe you have a higher degree of control in choosing your target consumers when it comes to online marketing solutions and this is the reason why they are increasingly gaining popularity.

Online advertising is growing day by day but it will not be correct to say its going to take over offline advertising soon because the penetration of Internet is not as of now to that extent.
Its basically the same as someone saying print media and newspapers are dead.
Well if you look at the majority of people, they read the news online nowadays.
This doesn’t mean the print era is dead though.
There are millions and millions of people that pickup a newspaper everyday and scrummage through it in search of some story that will kindle their burning desire for knowledge.
The newspapers reach people that won’t be reachable in any other fashion.
Some people don’t own or believe in computers or gadgets.
Others just can’t afford it.
So i believe its too early to say that online will take over offline soon.
