Virtual memory is a feature of an operating system (OS) that allows a computer to compensate for shortages of physical memory by temporarily transferring pages of data from random access memory (RAM) to disk storage.

Increase the Virtual memory size

Open My Computer.

Click View system information in the left hand side of the My Computer window. ...

Click the Advanced tab. ...

Under the Performance Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.

Under the Virtual memory section, click Change.

 Normally all the applications running with the help of main memory but lack of memory, we will assign our secondary storage for operation. ie; If your computer lacks the random access memory (RAM) needed to run a program or operation, Windows uses virtual memory to compensate.

We can specify virtual memory from System settings (take properties of system and select advanced settings -> Performance). Allocate memory from Hard disk.
