Decision-making is about more than appearing decisive. It’s about managing the context so that we achieve the outcomes we desire. It makes sense to delay our final decisions until we know more (otherwise we’d simply be making random decisions, uninformed by any real understanding of the situation). But the delay involves active learning rather than analysis.

A wise decision requires reflection, and reflection requires pause.

Sometimes when the risk for postpone the decision is in an acceptable level and does not have any disciplinary actions compare with keeping forward with the taken decision.

Yes, when I'm upset or angry it is better to postpone a decision. Sometimes you need to do investigation or consult some experts to make a decision but some decisions should be immediately.

I hardly postpone making a decision. But first make sure that I have all the facts and information. If I have a good image of it all, I make the decision, But ,yes, I always decide.

Sometimes a bad decision is better then NO decision. Because the bad decision then triggers a better decision. Its not a normal way of working, but sometimes necessary if information will not reach you, or people don't want it to reach you.

Not on the small ones.

I postpone the decision that need more time to evaluate, analyze, consult and think deeply that I won't regret the outcome of that decision.

You couldn't reverse the situation, so it needs a very thorough examination or a firm solution that postponement will not matter much. But when the time comes to decide you have already consulted the right people to seek for some true & valid advise.

Yes. I do delay when I am sure that I am going to reap better benefits by the delay.
