What is zone control valve & what is the function of zcv?

Zcv is zone control valve Some of valve is control a zone area like sprinkler in one floor in building . And zcv components is baterfly valve and flow switch and pre sure guge and test and drain valve . When sprinkler open the water is flow from the zcv and flow switch make a signal to fire alarm control panel

Zone Control Valve is a system designed to separate the area in case of maintenance and to get the indication of fire zone on a combination of Butterfly valve, Flow Switch, Pressure Gauge and Test & Drain Valves.

is the sectional valve and it consist of 

- Os&y gate valve for maintenance(normally open).

-Tamper switch to sure os&y is open.

-PRV (pressure reduce valve).

-Check valve (non return valve).

-Flow switch.

-Pressure gauge.

-Test drain.

 

used to control the flow of water or steam in a hydronic heating or cooling system

the high risk zone usually for all gas plant ,,,for that ZCV it is asafety valve equipped for all critical eqipments in gas plants
