What are the Pros and Cons {advantages & disadvantages} of issuing bonds/debenture over stocks/shares, & which is more beneficial?

Pros of issuing bonds over debentures:

1. undiluted control

2. fixed payout of interest 

Cons:

1. negative impression on a highly geared company

2. cost of issuing debentures could be expensive compared to shares.
