How does a claims assistant work?

In insurance claims assistant may perform the following tasks :-

1)Receive and register all claims notifications.

2)Check  and compare the claminat details and the incident in question against the insurance policy terms and conditions.

3)conduct survey or appoint professional surveyor if necessary.

4)Report to the adminstration and follow up the claim processing until finalized and settled.
