Why do employees need years of hard work to gain trust of management but need few minutes or seconds to lose it?

You can lift a stone to the top of the hills with great efforts, but to drop down, it hardly takes a few seconds. To impart confidence one has to prove that he is good at work, one has to hard work, use skill and knowledge and produce growth oriented results and that too is not an easy task that can be performed in a few hours just as in the case of Magic.  Achievements are always the result of hard work and imparting trust is on the basis of continuous loyalty and belongings.

Any positive working relationship is based on trust. An environment of trust assumes that both parties will be safe, and it carries with it an implicit message that you have each other’s best interests in mind. That is why employees can accept criticism and even anger from a boss they trust. The employees know deep down that the boss really means to help.

Trust is an interesting quality because, once it is lost, it is hard to recapture.
