In organisations there are TOPS, BOTTOMS, MIDDLES and CUSTOMERS. There are the internal systems and the external systems. The world of the Top is feeling Overwhelmed and deal with complexity of the job, the Bottoms feels oppressed, it is us against the rest of the organisation and the Middles feel disintegrated, and torn between, while the Customers feel neglected. Do we understand these worlds and how they need to be integrated into a partnership.

yes, this is due to the fact that managers base their planning and priorities basing on the systems at play if any organization is to progress. doing the contrary is to derail from the right course.

Absolutely! OD in itself is not isolated and should occur within the broader context of strategy, leadership, people, culture, processes and capacity. It is therefore a systematic process of ensuring alignment between the strategy and the different organisational components. Managers therefore need to understand the systems at play in their organisations so that they can manage their teams effectively and contribute to business success.
