What routine procedure do you follow generally after completing the maintenance work?

-Ensure work place is clean, all tools and test equipment are withdrawn.

-Visually check the nearby piping, tubes, valves and other equipment in the area, inform the control room & foreman about any abnormalities.

-Ensure that the work permit is signed off, that maintenance supervisors are informed about all observations, that test results are recorded on the appropriate check sheets and that maintenance history is recorded on the work history section of the work order for input in eAM/CMMS.

Do housekeeping and clear the area against hazards. Do necessary test run/commissioning to confirm stability of system and then turn-over to operations by closing the work permit.

A maintenance intervention is closed only if the necessary recording  task is done sometimes both on paper & soft support
