For Confined space entry procedure,is it necessary to conduct gas test while people still working and very much alive inside the Confined space?

the safety the must important  on the airport ,  we have to work hard to change safety culture and explain the benefits of the safety . and we have to carry out inspections all the time to insure and improve that the rules and the regulations are apply . 

it should be conduct with in a several interval whether it is belongs to a confined space so there may have chances for certain changing of threaten level of poisonous gas or deficiency of oxygen . it will more safe if possible to monitoring the gas test & record should be documented

Yes it is necessary to conduct gas test in confined space job on specific intervals during job execution because personnel safety is more important and internal conditions could be changed due to any incident occurrence. 

Conducting gas test where workmen are inside is an old approach. The best practice nowadays is a big gas monitor located inside the CS and each workmen clipped on chest level with personal gas sensors.

I feel that it is still important to conduct the gas test. In my view it is all about scanning the environment you are working in and understanding it better so as to take the appropriate action. The presence of people working and very much alive does not necessarily mean the absence of gas, the toxicity levels and speed of accumulation could be low but with a potential to build up and create a harmful atmosphere/environment.
