Given the managerial post in one company, what is the first thing you do on your first day of office?

First of all I will go through my detailed job description to see what the company management expects from this position.

Secondly, I will try to go through the previous files and documents to see the normal routine tasks. This will also give me insight into which jobs are most important and which of them require my urgent attention.

I will sit with my seniors and colleagues to know the things which are unique to the company to have an insight into the company management style.

If possible, start with the most important task or the task which requires urgent attention.

I will check if any deadline is in recent future and can be missed due to negligence.

I will try to get feedback from my team members about my performance first day to check if I am going in the right direction.
