What did you guys think about Apple's rather noticable redesign of iOS 7?

The typography is awesome.
Amazing how much they worked on it, in terms of grid, type weights and hierarchy.
The depth effect is cool like you said.
A few things here and there reminded people that apple still got it.
But other things, major things, drove people crazy.
The icons, the home page you are looking at every time you unlock your phone, it should have been better.
Many designers actually worked on that, but one designer in particular proposed how it could be much much better.

Dmitry's icons are somewhat simplier in design, though I didn't like the shadow he used on some icons...
I watched the video a few (more) times :) and the general impression was that the user interface is also improved, a few new options here and there; also I think that the command center could be a usefull thing...
Although I think they did the major redesign, they went flat (trendy, but it's been there for a while), but this change in typography makes me feel they went Windows8 a little bit :) though as a hard core apple fan I'lll be totally denying and rejecting the idea ;)
