I think employers are looking someone down to the last detail, so it's very difficult for employees to fit the job description. I mean, you must have not only the demanded qualifications but also to fit the character that the employer is looking for. That is very difficult and you must be a mentalist in order to understand what the employer wants.
Very very very bad experience..especially in Pakistan it is so hard to find job according your qualification.
Folks,
I have great experience of Job Seeking. I always take it as a "Project"
Thanks
Its a very bad experience as i have done only3 jobs in my life.
Same is looks like at Bayt coz i am searching for job through Bayt since many years.
REALY TUFF JOB TO FIND A JOB..............
now a days, its very big challange to get the job for any job seeker.
The sad part about my job seeking experience is getting rejected without even giving me the chance to prove myself. But on the other hand, I don't take it as my loss, but my prospective employers'.
I have had some good ones and bad ones, the worst is being contacted , phoned for initial Interview and then absolute silence,
Also in our country even if you are the best at what you do , you are the wrong ethnic group, I have seen them appoint2nd and3rd rate applicants, just because they meet the ethnic criteria,
looking for a job in the last two years has been a challenge,i havn't been contacted not even once in the middle east.while is new york and tri state area i have been contacted many times,i have gone through the initial and phone interviews and it was complete silence,i believe its ethnic issues which i have been facing in usa for the last13 years, age is a nother barrier and having experience in international sales, marketing, procurement is not in high demand nowdys.
overall i have acquired certification by the american purchasing society as a cpp and after that a cppm which took over18 months of studying, qualifications, experience verification, past jobs verification, and the10 references check and verification.after that i went through SAP training and certifications,........etc.
needless to say i have tried every possible way.i guess one barrier has been age,the second not having current middle east local experience even though my area of expertise was the middle east and north africa, and third i believe it was long career span over23 years, most employers are looking for young mid career prospects.
need good relations
difficult since the job seekers and more than the available jobs.
