Libreralist or Realist approach to today's multipolar world?

Today the world is more realistic then anyone though a decade ago.States are seeking their powers to counter their opponents in anarchic world.Concept of sovereignty is lost,empires are now dominant is world like Uncle Sam (USA) Is struggling to regain its position in century .Middle east is another playing field of politics.Saudi and Iran is starting their own Cold war.EU is becoming dominant part of europe. Multi powers are appearing, Russian involvement in syria reflect the demands of east in post cold war era .Cooperation on the behalf of economy and trade is no more required in current situation,major states has make their own allies to fulfill their demands in markets so millitary rivalry and show in balance of power clearly shows that international political arena is Hobbesian state of nature,where wolf eat wolf to live.
