EIGRP as Open Standard Protocol?

No EIGRP is a CISCO propriorty protocol

yes  eigrp is  cisco proprietary protocol  but  few month ago  it is know  as eigrp is  open standard  protocol

cisco provide support  on other brand router  like   juniper hp  D-LINK   nortel

EIGRP is a fast convergence protocol with the back up route so it would be advantages to make it open 

I heard somewhere about that cisco is planning to make EIGRP as Open Standard Protocol......thank you for the link
