Can typing reach a point where it is not viable in an organization?

Everything is possible with the technology nowadays, but can we reach a point where a company will be only one person? I mean if the technology does it all for us, what's the point of working? And how many people in the world will have all the necessary knowledge to do all the tasks? I don't know, but it's a little bit scary.
