Key Job Accountabilities
• Ensure assigned tasks are well managed in accordance with overall MP engineering management plan, Projects Execution Plan and contractual requirements that includes:
- Support MP projects for planning, organization, execution, and control of new Installation activities/scope from early engineering to final close out.
- Assist Head of MP Engineering Support on technical subjects related to new Installation preparation.
- Interface management within MP Engineering team, with client entities, TRPs, shareholders, and external parties to address technical and engineering subjects.
• Support, follow and monitor the Engineering Dossier (including installation engineering) for various packages.
Activities
• Support MP Projects team in addressing the Installation concerns and queries.
• Define Installation Engineering and Preparation Methods.
• Identify potential issues and blocking points related to Installation Engineering and offshore preparation, define and manage clear way forward for these decisions to be made and track the execution within various projects.
• Act as focal point within EMG for all new Installation engineering and offshore preparation subjects.
• Coordinate with T&I engineers to review technical issues and identify required supports from EMG.
• Define, follow up and evaluate the Installation studies to be carried out in the course of new developments, support that the studies are completed as per approved deadlines.
• Liaise with Installation engineers from various packages to identify/review the potential modification to be emphasized to associated TRPs.
• Support potential deviations from the client referential with the Engineering Manager and Technical Authority for final decision across all packages, communicate the result information through all packages and EMG.
• Identify any optimization / improvement in the design dossier to be implemented in the early stage of design.
• Identify potential changes at EMG level, apply change management procedure and communicate the information to the projects.
• Support engineers to prepare major meetings related to new Installations.
• Assist engineers, when needed, in preparation of project response to Contractors and Vendors requests on engineering clarifications, deviations and technical queries.
• Ensure that relevant feedback/lesson learned from previous similar projects are considered in the design and installation performance.
• Assist in preparation and attend to project studies including HAZID, Model review and constructability review, PRs and other studies as directed by Head of Engineering Support.
• Assist Projects in providing technical answers and clarifications to internal project audit sessions (PR, HAZID, etc.…).
• Assist Lead Engineering Methods to monitor the maturity index of Installation Engineering for the next to come technical reviews.
• Participate, when required, to weekly and monthly engineering meetings with new Installation actors.
• Assist in preparation of engineering reports detailing new Installation progress across technical issues to ensure accurate and timely information available for decision making.
• Assist in updating the SOR (parts to be updated) following Engineering progress and review any SCN (SOR change notice) related to Installation.
• Assist with overall project closeout, including completion documents, As-built, engineering, deficiency corrections and handover process.
• Maintain benchmark data base for miscellaneous offshore transportation and installation activities. Aim to build a consolidated summary of design data to be used for the T&I engineering, to ensure alignment between the disciplines.
• Coordinate with client geotechnical and geophysical expert to ensure project relevant data is available in time.
• Be part of audit team dedicated to Installation engineering and offshore preparation.
• Participate to offshore coordination meetings to be aware of field life and potential other entities’ projects.
Qualifications
• Qualification: Degree in Offshore Engineering.
• Senior engineer with a good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines, with at least 15 years’ experience of onshore/offshore oil & gas project.
• Offshore experience is required.
• Good knowledge of industry codes, standards, and legislations on HSE aspect.
• Familiar with Oil & gas project organizations.
• Familiar with Client & Total general specifications.
• Language: fluent English.
• Computer literate.
• Strong leadership skills and good communication skills.
• Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
