Site Engineer / Restoration Specialist

As a Heritage site engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation and restoration of projects with heritage value in Beirut, Lebanon. You will work closely with project managers, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards.

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture or a related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering and heritage classified projects, with at least 2 successfully completed projects of heritage value.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations in accordance with heritage preservation.
4. Excellent project management and leadership skills.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
7. Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering software.

Excellent English written and spoken.
 

• • Project Management:
    • Provide overall technical leadership and guidance to the project team.
    • Monitor and manage project progress, schedules, and budgets.
    • Prepare 3-weeks look ahead site work schedule in line with baseline schedule.
    • Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
    • Prepare and manage project submittals as per company standards.
  • Construction Oversight:
    • Supervise construction activities on-site.
    • Review and approve construction methodologies and materials.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is executed according to plans and specifications.
    • Address any technical issues that arise during construction.
    • Lead on construction methodologies related to heritage preservation.
  • Quality Assurance and Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
    • Conduct inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with project standards.
    • Resolve any non-conformities and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Contract Management:
    • Administer low value agreements with site manpower.
    • Evaluate site team performance and adherence to contractual obligations.
    • Ensure timely quantity surveying, preparation of payments certificates and variations as per the contract terms.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, and team.
    • Prepare and present progress (daily, weekly, monthly) reports to project management and stakeholders.
    • Address any inquiries or concerns related to the project.
    • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
    • Promote and enforce safety measures on-site.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
    • Take proactive steps to prevent accidents and incidents.
