Software Engineer

Heka.ai is the independent brand of Sia Partners dedicated to AI solutions. We host many AI-powered SaaS solutions that can be combined with consulting services or used independently, to provide our customers with solutions at scale. 

Sia Partners is looking for a Software Engineer to support the development of the Data Science Business Line in our new office in Mumbai. 

With a focus on back-end software development in Python, your main responsibilities will include: 

• Participation in our consulting assignments with our clients  
• Development of our Software-as-a-Service products from Heka.ai 
• Support to Data Scientists, Data Engineers and DevOps Engineers in projects with a strong Data component: 
• Back-end software development in Python: development of microservices and tools executed on the server (interaction with a database, REST API server, authentication, etc.) 
• Docker: containerization of applications for local development and production 
• Continuous integration: management of continuous software integration (tests writing, artifacts building, etc.) 
• Contribution to the back-end, front-end and software architecture of applications 

To start your journey with Sia Partners, you will benefit from a few weeks training in our development centers in France or Canada.

• Engineering background with 3 years of experience in Software, DevOps, Cloud or Data Engineering 
• Mastery of Python, for back-end applications 
• Experience with the Flask library, as well as with Javascript for front-end development is a plus 
• Knowledge in continuous integration techniques & tools – ability to write unit tests is a plus 
• Mastery of a containerization solution such as Docker 
• Fluency in English (written + oral)
