Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
TASKS:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company objectives and ADNOC standards; Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate workplace incidents; Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and contractors on HSE best practices, ensuring all personnel are adequately trained and competent to perform their duties safely; Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE requirements into project planning, design, and execution phases; Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance overall safety culture and performance; Coordinate with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards; Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures to prevent recurrence; Conduct emergency response drills and exercises, ensuring readiness to effectively respond to emergencies and minimize impact on personnel, assets, and the environment; Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in HSE management, and proactively integrate relevant advancements into existing programs and processes; Champion initiatives to promote environmental sustainability and resource conservation across all operational activities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are preferred; 15+ years of proven experience HSE management within the Oil & Gas industry, with specific knowledge of ADNOC standards during pipeline projects; In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices, with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective HSE programs; Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement and achieve HSE objectives; Proficiency in HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001) and relevant software applications; Fluent level of English (written and spoken).
