I am not a believer of the popular accounting principle "Dr. the receiver & Cr. the giver" as it has limited application. How may of U agree with me ?

For e.g. when creating a general reserve, you do the contrary to the principle i.e. Dr. the giver (Retained earnings) and Cr. the receiver (Other general reserves).

Please try to understand that you are referring to the accounting principle that are applocable for personal accounts and reserves  whether retained or general are not personal in nature. Kindly do try to digest the basic accounting principles for all types of accounts- Personal, Real and Nominal  nature before running into hasty conclusions and posting baseless questions.
