let me reverse the question ....  "Why should I work for you ?"

  1. Is it the extra money that you wave in front of my nose ?
  2. is it a better position/title that I like to put next to my name in my business card ?
  3. Is it power/authority that you promise to give me to be able to do a better job ??
  4. Is it because you have a better corporate culture, values and work environment ?
  5. Is it because I can self actualize myself and achieve things that I cannot do without you/your firm ?

Sir,   if you don't recognize and accept that you will benefit from me ..  much much more ... than what I will benefit from you .... then please ... please ... do NOT hire me !!

Actually this is one of the most tricky questions as it can show:

- How you have a self-confidence (be careful while you are talking, because you may show it in an self-conceited way)

- How you are interested in the job

- How you understand the job you and how you see the company

- How honest you are  (you may say there are some skills required for this job but I belive I am a fast learner and I can adabt so quiclky to fit in this job/position)

My knowledge, skills, hardwork ,devotion and believe in team work will surely make the organization successull whereever I work.

Cheers!

Your organisation is one such organisation, which operates in a proffesional, dynamic, and vibrant environment. I am absolutely sure that there would be extremely challenging and growth oriented career opportunities existing in your organisation.

This is one of tricky question to test your logical thinking. The most obvious and practical answer should be as follows,

"You have to fill this position and I do possess the needed qualification, experience, skills and knowldge required for the same. If something is lacking, I am sure I will catch-up it fast as I am fast-learner and enthusiastic as well! I am confident, I will add value to your esteemed oraganization and prove myself as an asset!"

Dear Mohamed,

This Question is the only chance you have to close the interview and win the situation, After all, the whole interview process is about answering this question:

Why should we hire you instead of one of the many other well-qualified applicants?

OR

Whats make you different from many other applicants?

With this question, your interviewer is asking you to sell him on you and your status as the best person for the position. Make his job easier by convincing him that:

Your answer should summarize the top three or fice best reasons to hire you incuding:

1- Industry experience

2- Experience in performing certain tasks or duties

3- Technical skills

4- Soft skills

5- Key accomplishments

6- Awards/accolades

7- Education/training

Accomplishments and success stories are always good bets, especially if you can describe how a key accomplishment (a successful marketing campaign, for example) demonstrates a desired competency (creativity, results-orientation)....

Give him numbers (Sales target, increasing of ROI.....etc).

-----------------------------

Example Answer

-----------------------------

Well, I have all of the skills and experience that you’re looking for and I’m confident that I would be a superstar in this project management role.

It’s not just my background leading successful projects for top companies –  or my people skills, which have helped me develop great relationships with developers, vendors, and senior managers alike. But I’m also passionate about this industry and I’m driven to deliver high-quality work.
