Does ISO 20k-2011 applies only to IT Services or any Services based business can have great results in adopting some specific ISO 20k standard ?

Please, provide facts related to results obtained in having a business / operation certified ISO20k not related to Information Technologies. Or highlight aspects from ISO20k that can be adapted or used in natura for other non it business, servicee based business. KPI's and metrics used to evaluate the results are welcome. E.g. I have one experience in a OIL&GAS and MARINE company, where we designed the SERVICES PROCESS oriented to Repair and Maintenance according best practices found on ISO20k. The company experimented a38% increasing rate of sales in the first3 months and closed with a growing rate of42% against2012 results. The main point was to design a service process for higher efficiency rate and in compliance to specific ISO20k requirements. What's your experience ?
