This is an important question, it must be stressed the independence of the quality department in the establishment where the inspector is customer representative on the company and the customer cannot report to, (for example), the production Manager.

To answer the question, quality inspector must report to the quality manager and in the absence of this position, he should report to the general manager to ensure independence.
