This question is addressed to the men in this group: How would you feel if your superior or your boss is a highly skilled intelligent woman?

In this modern world, more and more women are taking on jobs which used to be gender-biased. But, sad to say, many men cannot adapt to it yet.

In my career, I have had3 opportunities to work with women as immediate bosses and my opinion is based on these three experiences:1- in my first job where i worked in an entirely semi skilled environment, met a lot of resistance from the only two learned females and the going was never easy until such a point when i resigned after5 years and went back home.2-I worked in one bank with a very experienced boss who never believed in herself and ended up always colliding with her juniors.10 years later, her career has stalled as promotions are no longer forth coming.3- For a year, i worked with another female boss who valued her job so much, always fighting for and with her team, and so passionate about picking a leaf or two from her juniors to boost her experience. Yet so patient and empathetic. Through these experiences, i have learnt that effective management is not about gender but self beliefs. Low self esteem is one reason that fails both sexes because a male boss is great, and a female boss is equally good.

Personnelly it is does not make any difference if my boss is man or woman.

I'll be happy, because I'll learn a lot.

What I understood from a woman superior is they are highly organised, very clear instruction, great follow up, Very helping and informative.

They are very objective and attain the goal.

But sometime and very rarely they will take rash decisions and offcourse they are not emotionally strong.

I have experience working with both male and female superior, I didnt find any major difference.

Honestly in my professional opinion, the gender of an individual does not necessarily play much of a role in the quality of an individuals leadership skills. What important is being able to balance the needs of the business you manage and the needs of the staff you deal with on a daily basis will makes you a good manager.

Boss is always Boss,  This is not necessary to be male or female Boss.

Yeah,  my Boss is woman and I really happy to work with her..

Some time she take a lot of stress and tension but this is natural in females.

At all ,She is better than our previous male Boss.

(If she know my comments about her, what happened? ???)

personally not professionally speaking, i would be more satisfied with a female manager than a man, it is not the matter of gender but being a man you can expect less from man than a female, and female offcourse should expect less from female. (psychologically)

For me is is fascinating to learn  in new environment with diversify people with different sets of  innovative minds where there working experience help full to the juniors. No matter with the gender either she or he but a boss should be a supportive one
