A quantitative analyst should be able to process a range of information using mathematical and statistical techniques for making strategically correct and profitable business decisions. They must be able to explain their recommendations in clear and comprehensive way for easy understanding. A quantitative analyst must understand the trends affecting a specific industry, geographical region or product. They should be able to apprehend how new regulations, policies and economic trend may affect the business.
