Its depands upon the industries. in FMGC you to do stock counting daily.

For heavy equipment production units like our we will take stock counting for A class items3 months once and for B & C class we will take stock counting6 months once 

It will change depanding upon the industries, situation, organisation etc

It depends the purpose.  Some stores conducting daily stock counting of important items. Others doing random counts on regular intervals.  But mostly, once in a year for annual counting.
