What can we do to help new immigrant find a job?

Many of the new immigrants are asking the same questions, they all share the same difficulties when they arrive to abroad. Very hard to rent an apartment, to find a job and to obtain a driver license it takes months which makes their life very hard.

I think finding a job in new country is very tough task for those people who move in other country. If you searching right job in other country than you just find it on the web i think here you get good job which you want and it also provide you all the important information which is necessary for finding  job in other country.

in my opinion I think that immigrants should try to read about their destinations before they go, however making use of some social networks or travel sites can be helpful, such as befriending people on Facebook from the destination or trying to look for some friends on sites like www.CouchSurfing.com its a pretty useful site, however once a person is already in that country, he can start mixing with people in public facilities like libraries or parks trying to know some people of the locals who may give the advise about what to do, but this should be done with care since its not easy to blend in a society where you origianlly don't belong to.

People residing in host country should help immigrants by proper career counseling and telling them about the working environment of the country. And if possible sharing contacts and providing any kind of support would be highly beneficial for that person. I remeber helping a foreigner by giving him my personal laptop charger, and whenever I think about that I feel proud.

It helps if there is a job "market" for the immigrant in the country of their choice, it will always be very difficult if jobs are hard to come by even for the indigenous population. There needs to be a solid "help" network which can walk immigrants through every facet of their new lives. accommodation, employment, medical aid and all the other aspects that go towards them adapting to their new circumstances. All the help that is offered should be monitored by an appropriate aid agency or government department to ensure that everything is above board and nobody tries to take advantage of immigrants as they on first arriving in a new country, are very vulnerable. In an ideal world a network of help/helpers would be on hand to offer honest, sympathetic and practical assistance to any would be immigrants.

Hmmm this is a very interesting question!

I would say why you brought them in the first place? You either need the expertise he/she has, maybe you missing a skill and that person is the one to fill it. Or, you are forcusing on more important stuff and are dealing with high level job that you bring someone to help with the daily basic routine jobs.

Therefore, helping them will highly depends what they can offer. What do they have, high or low level skills and expertise? This will determin how we can benefit from their help and improve their and our job situation.

Very nice question because of the reason I have been thru such situation at places and at the same time seen others go thru it and for it I would like to point out that there are categories of people: * some who catch things quickly, some before going to a new location, study it prior to going there, *some just blindly move and don't have the zeal to even learn.

For my instance, if I plan to mve I alot a dedicated time to it then try to learn about it from various sources such that once I land there I need not depend on any one for any thing although there will be things for which you need some help but I try to maximize familiarity to it before hand and do everything on my own.
