Yes, because the successful company is working as a team not individually.

Everything should be discussed in a team, listening to each member of a team.

Well good question...and definitely yes , if the employee works in an organisation that is completely different from the personal agenda he or she has.And no, if he is in a environment where his skills are recognised and rewarded.
