According to my observation it is not a gender case rather it is something by nature. I found teachers of both genders famous for their strictness. Strictness is mostly a by product of perfection which is a natural attribute. When you are a perfectionist you become more strict in your attitude to make your work perfect.

Both males and females. Each set targets which had to be met and I found this developed me as someone willing to take on challenges, trying new ways of problem solving and being able to reason, listen to others and not being intimidated by rules, deadlines and bossy personalities. Strictness had it's place and could be respected especially if students were valued and respected in return.

WE NEED FRIENDLY ONE, NOT STRICKER TEACHERS

The older women were definitely stricter than the male teachers. I believe that comes from the fact that women are the nurturers. In my society women are the ones who take more interest in their child's education. Also, the elder women in the community put more stress in ensuring kids went to school to receive a quality education because of the segregation they had previously experienced. They expected more from the younger generation because of the better opportunity we had and disciplined us when we did take our education seriously.
