How to backup MS Outlook PST file automatically on daily basis to other location without closing outlook program?

Backing up Outlook pst files when Outlook is still open, regardless of program being used, is an invitation for problems especially if it's also going to an external drive. You may never find out about any existing problems until you try and use the backed up file at which point - will be too late.

Might suggest that you shut down Outlook at the end of your day and configure an automated backup during the most likely downtime

But still, as an alternate, there is a script that closes the outlook backup pst and re-opents it.

i haven't faced an issue before backing up opened PST files using Backupexec however i heard about the isssue from some colleagues but i think this can be done using BackupExec DLO option otherwise there are many ways to do so like using scripts for incremental backup or 3rd parties.

there is no such programs available now.
