there was a time when every country had their own grid and grid references and projections. But now as Know every one that world has become the global village . so Geographic experts create only one grid for whole world/ whole earth. UTM is  a datm for that grid. There no difference in tha GIS and Google utm.

only purpose of using the UTM is GIS that our drawings can be adjust in world map or other connected drawings.

A GIS system consists of a computer package (including hardware and software) of the user's computer by an intermediary or (User), which provides access to the specific objectivesComponents of such a system are as followsMember,HardwareSoftwares,Information and  methods.

UTM coordinates a global system in which a cylindrical coordinate system as the level of scalable interface for image effects used on the oval on the map. In this system, the elliptical or zone is divided into 60 regions, each of these zones has independent and 6 degrees longitude coordinates are included. The coordinate system is usually for large and medium scale map was perfect and used.

Universal Transver Mercetor is co coordinate system in GIS.

UTM stands for universal tranverse mericator. It is a projected coordinate system and uses a2-dimensional certesian coordinate system to give locations on the surface of the earth.

The Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) is to Project co-ordinates system into the map

The Universal Transverse Mercator (UTMprojected coordinate system uses a 2-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system to give locations on the surface of the Earth. It is a horizontal position representation, i.e. it is used to identify locations on the Earth independently of vertical position, but differs from the traditional method of latitude and longitude in several respects.

The UTM system is not a single map projection. The system instead divides the Earth into sixty zones, each a six-degree band of longitude, and uses a secant transverse Mercator projection in each zone.

UTM means universal transverse mercator coordinate systemm which contains X and Y  to specify any location in any map. It's a projected coordinate system

it's a Geographic coordinate system

u:Universal

t: Transverse

m: Mercator

The Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) grid, a world wide plane coordinate system was developed in the1940's by the Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army,  It is a name of projection that used for drawing erath surface on maps. The UTM system divides the Earth between80°S and84°N latitude into60 zones, each6° of longitude in width.Google Erath is the name of software that is used for see3D buildings and structures and satellite imagery views. Google Erath uses coordinates (latitude/longitude) on the World Geodetic System of1984 (WGS84) datum and It can be convered to UTM by some programs. That's all and I hope my answer help you to achieve your aims.

UTM in gis means that:projected coordinate system in gis

universal transverse Mercator (UTM). This system divides the world up into60zones of longitude, each of width6°. The zones are numbered from I starting at a

longitude of1800 E, and increase eastwards, but the working in utm in gis is accurate if we get the points for the work accurate using gps to get orthoimage using lps softwere

utm in google earth global utm  no difference but the shift in google earth (lat, log,h) called the google earth(naivegator)
