I think one should be wary of both, the opportunities AND risks social media marketing comes with.

  1. Don’t overestimate the risks & threat as such to refrain from social media presence entirely. Go about it intelligently & effectively. Have dare to be & remain online.
  2. Don’t underestimate the added value of social media marketing; customers are segmented & gathered in one place more than ever & you can reach them by being authentic & engaged in a cost-effective way.
