Cisco Unified Communication Express Auto Attendant Error in entered extension Number?

I'm using the default Auto attendant script in Cisco Unified Communication Express that prompts to press1 to enter the extension number. When entering the number followed by # returns Ext. number error. Where to find and fix it?

just press1 then wait and dial the extension needed.
