A change in command is always tricky, specially as you go higher up the organisational chart. Though I can't assume or presume to know how a CEO would think as I'm not a CEO, I am however well versed in military doctrines -- from which most organisations take their cue, whether they realise it or not.

The quickest answer, without going into details is to orient everyone and remind them of the company's goals. It is much better for an organisation to move as one towards a common goal than to associate "good performance" with a personality such as the CEO. That way, everyone does their part, everyone shares in the success.Another good tip would be to define the goals and break them down into milestones measurable in30,60, and90 days.

your question is much too vague. What organisation? In what context? What problem are you facing? Which are your KPI? Which performance do you want to improve? By how much?
