With the Sage Pastel Payroll Hosted Self Service solution, the Self Service Website is hosted at Internet Solutions (http://www.is.co.za) under a Sage Pastel Payroll & HR agreement. There is no need to install the Self Service website on a stand-alone web server at the client site. Clients automatically gain access to the Hosted website on purchasing Hosted Self Service Product.

The Self Service Publisher is the only application that is required to be installed in order to use Self Service. It is a Win32 application, so no web components are required to be installed – hence lead time from deployment to eventual use is reduced substantially.

The Local (Customer) Hosted solution requires the Self Service website to be installed on the customers’ own servers. This type of installation is resource intensive from an IT point of view, hence increasing the lead time from deployment to eventual use.
