1. Planning - you need to know why, what and how as well as having a start point and a target.

2. Methods - the mechanics of how you are going to achieve your target.

3. Discipline - in two forms, self discipline to stick to your plan and adhere to your methods to achieve. Discipline to keep your young charges focused within your plan.

4. Evaluation - Was your plan successful? Lessons learnt for future plans.
