In Brief, they are effector B cells, Plasma cells produces antibodies which eventually useful in defense mechanism. In early stages they will produce membrane bound IgM these later Isotype switching happens to get majorly IgG sps(depends), and they are shortlived.

plasma cells are known to produce antibodies, they play an important role in the defece mechanism of the body. These cells give out humoral antibodies to curb down the actions by the antigens and thus contribute in defence mechanism. Studies reveal that only a single specimen antibody is synthesized by the plasma cells. These specimen antibodies can be IgM or IgA or IgM. One of the major exceptions is traced during the primary immune response during which sometimes plasma You do not have access to view this node generating IgM at the beginning later shifts over to IgM antibody synthesis. Mature plasma You do not have access to view this nodedie immediately after going through few cell divisions as they are end cells and do not have life of more than few weeks.
