Is Aspartame good or bad?

There're several documentary type programs that basically tell us that how Aspartame is terribly bad for us all. However it's hard to find anything sweet in the shops that doesn't have it in.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has set an acceptable daily intake for aspartame at up to40 mg/kg body-weight. Additionally, the acceptable daily intake of diketopiperazine (an impurity found in aspartame) has been set by the WHO at up to7.5 mg/kg body-weight.

However, all artificial sweeteners (not just Aspartame!) have disastrous side-effects that surely don’t worth their sweet taste. They are basically just sweet poisons!!

You'll find some Aspartame-free products which have the following sweeteners instead of Aspartame:

Acesulfame Potassium (As sweet as Aspartame180–200 times sweeter than Sucrose),

Sodium Cyclamate (30 times sweeter than Sucrose),

Sodium Saccharine (300-600 times sweeter than Sucrose),

Sucralose (300-1000 times sweeter than Sucrose) &

Fructose (1.73 times sweeter than sucrose)

If you’re looking for the safest sugar substitutes, the answer is Sucralose & Fructose.
