What do you do as an English teacher to ensure you pronounce words correctly all the time?

It is true that we should teach by example and learners also emulate us.Looking at these two,how careful are you as an English teacher to articulate words well?

The best way is to listen to native speakers or check pronunciation of words or study phonetics and then listen to native speakers in news or on the internet or as friends. All routes will lead to listening to native speakers.

I think if you are always prepared before giving a class then you'll always pronounce words correctly. Before giving a class, if it is a lesson that i have never explained before I go through it thoroughly and make sure that I check all new words pronunciation and definitions. I put a plan for myself on how to go through the chapter with all activities that I will give. And I totally agree with Mr. Scott, we lead by example so we have to make sure we do everything right.

It is perfectly true. I answered a previous question saying that teachers are first and foremost "Role Models" and as such should "guide" and "mentor" their young charges. It is important in their formative years to lead them along the right path and of course this includes ensuring that you do everything correctly. Lead by example and they will surely follow!
