Materials required for Calibration:

1. A digital voltmeter of high accuracy

2. 24V DC power source

3. A 5 dial Resistance decade Box providing 100 Ohm steps.

NOW follow the steps to Calibrate.

1. Remove all the RTD lead connection if an RTD is already connected

2. Determine the RTD resistance at the desired base (0 Centigrade )  & full scale temperatures.

3. Now turn ON the power supply.

4. Set Resistance decade box to the resistance that corresponds to the desired base temperature. Adjust the Zero pot ( Potentiometer) of transmitter until output is 4mA.

5. Set Resistance decade box to the resistance that corresponds to the desired full scale temperature. Adjust the span pot ( Potentiometer) of transmitter until output is 20mA.

6. Repeat the above steps until the 4mA and 20mA readings are obtained without adjusting ZERO and SPAN potentiometers.
