Do you use Google Rich Snippets or schema.org markups? would you summarize the effect before and after using them?

Please share your experience with us, If someone updated his CMS to use those markups recently, and tracked the SE positioning it would be great if he/she can share results. Also im interested in knowing what particular schema's you care to use more?

Schema, Rich Snippets & Data Highlighter have great effect when implemented correctly.

WikiHow is a great example, their schema implementation & authorship gets them millions of visits to their website.

Unlike Geo-location & business information, Google Knowledge graphs are one of the best source to bring in traffic to the website.

A while back we updated a CMS for a service oriented website. We wrote a long form article, provided backlinks, highlighted data, implemented the information schema and submitted it. After a month or so we started appearing in the knowledge graph search results.

Yes we have used markups for authorship,  local business & geo location. I think authorship help to gain trust and if you have products or services then using reviews and breadcrumbs richsnippets might help users to click on it.

Hi Alaa,

I am greatly honoured by your request to answer this question.

I've been recommending usage of structured data for a long time now and got very positive results for a majority of my client (10% of my client didn't have any positive but nevertheless nor did they had any negative. I recommend a combination of Schema.org, Data-Vocablury.org, OGP.me, TwitterCard mark-ups for structured data. This has greatly increased my click-through from20% to as high as53% for my clients websites.I recommend the mix as follows :

  1. Schema.org for majority of my structured data.
  2. Data-Vocabulary.org for Breadcrumb (although schema can be used here but I find the results of d-v more reliable)
  3. OGP.me for metadata information
  4. TwitterCard for metadata information

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the invitation, it's very important issueYes, i use Google rich snippets or Schema.org markups to provide high search results that help user to know more about my page and encourage him to click on my site search results. Some times i face difficulties with some CMS and applications، and have no time to add Schema.org markups and HTML tags in all website code, in this case i depend on Google rich snippets tool to sort structured data.we do our best to get high results rank , and this way completes the mission.
