How can i answer the question : " Tell me about yourself ? "

It Means The person taking your intervew is giving you a chance to introduce yourself like your abilities your skils about your work and also your Experties.

I will give a brief summary of my education, qualification and Experience, and focus on related job profile.

You can discuss your priorities in life, how you plan to reach your goals through your skillset, educational and job experience, and what you value the most in life. You can incorporate all of these elements to answer the underlying question of why should they hire you in the first place! :)

By asking  this  question the interviewer wants to know what are your actions toward enhancing the position you are applying for,not personally trailts,tell him how would you contribute to add value and advance in your career.

If this question was asked to you, this concludes that you are not prepared for the job interview yet.

An excellent job interview is to start your interview with5 -10 min PowerPoint presentation that cuts90% of the chase.

Unless you R underqualified for the job, then it will show many important aspects of your abouts, such as - persuasion capabilities, linking thoughts, carried advancement from previous positions, and importantly, requesting a challenge to solve a current bothersome matter.

Before you go to an interview do all of the following:

1. Hunt him/her at an occasional public settings (Prayers, mall seating’s, grocery stores, barbershops, and so on...)
2. Find out what problems they currently have.
3. Investigate about the company you want to work for.
4. See who is the boss that needs to solve the problem.
5. Use your talent to encourage them offering a job on spot to anyone who could solve the problem or offer to arrange for an interview "such a question won't be asked".

I have asked this question too many times when I was interviewing employees technically, but later I discovered all of the interviewees detested the question. It was an arrogant question I was entertaining myself with, and in the same time shows that I am choosing to intimidate the others in an official nonsense way.

Until you come up with a sound job proposal request, all job interviewers will continue asking this private and intrusive question.

How you see yourself is more important than how people see you. Self perception is a major factor on individual preferences and decisions. This questioon tells recruiter about an individual self perception and approach towards life. So speak truth and less is more. Be concise and precise

well " tell me about yourself" it's not an  invitation to talk much about yourself,

try to know what the interviewer means with this question by asking him aboutthe possibility of identifying something about you or your qualifications to talk about 

This will help the interviewer to steer the conversation to the appropriate path and avoid  unnecessary talk

I usually ask that the person asking me this be more specific about what they are interested to know - so that I can give the information required and not waste time.

Tell about your skills  and your experiences which is related to that job applied.
