we can say FDD  =  franchise disclosure document 

In the past the name was  Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) (or uniform franchise disclosure document),

In US the FDD  has to be  presented to prospective buyers of franchises   -  as  a legal document - in the pre-sale disclosure process
