Bokeh what does it mean, what is the features of it that brings to your masterpiece?

In layman terms, if you have seen any shot which is out of focus (especially night shot) you will see round circles in the image. That’s the Bokeh effect. In real life you can make a diamond shape stencil (like the image, where the black area is a hole) and put it in front of your camera lens and then shot something with higher aperture setting like12. You will see the bokeh effect in the out of focus areas.
