The backend database used in p6 is Oracle and the data is saved there
Earlier in p3, which was a file database, it used to be saved as files that are encrypted.
In Primavera (p6) Project data saved in database
if you are using Microsoft SQL then the data base files are here "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data\"
In Primavera (p3) Project data Saved in C:\P3WIN\PROJECTS\
Normally these location are default (if you changed the location you will find in that location)
