What is more important - creating value or making a difference?

Stepehen I think its also a Mission statement of Coa Cola company  but  its not or its actually combined and it says "To create value and make a difference" .

I think both have importance as per my view because any company or product with creating a value will surely fizz out on longer run. Everyone who spends money to own something or buy something wants value for money. Once they understand the product surely has value for money they feel satisified after consuming it.

Now days companies also are doing many social cause related stuff like planting trees, save earth campaigns, save water by cleaning technologies , solar and many other ways which surely makes difference to everyone and we can feel it as there is a great effort which is been put to do such stuff.

I have always thought that "if you make the right difference, you will make the right value".  Most businesses focus on achieving profits - regardless of the consequences. I think that business now needs to be held accountable - and there does seem to some movement worldwide in this direction - but the negative impacts also seem to be snowballing (e.g. The state of pollution just from plastic bags!). 

We are possibly reaching an inflection point - massive business opportunity to tap the 'pent up' consumer demand from emerging economíes........but can we do this at the societal cost that such demand has been satisfied in the 'developed' economies?

Your sentiment is right - the notions of value and difference can no longer be separable endeavors!
