To build a website, let us start with the begining :

Step2. Build content around the problem of these profiles concerning your vertical.Make sure that the content is meant for users who would be searching these keywords (not for search engines). Develop content which provides solutions to targeted user's problem as they tend to have more impact on users
Step3. Choose a design and framework that would apeal to these profiles. Have the layout simple and elegant. Have proper formatting of the content previously created i.e., proper headlines, bold etc where needed, use of short paragraphs, organized with bullets etc,
Step4. Do a proper onpage SEO - great title/description, use of rich snippets and markups, proper internal linking,etc
Step5. Develop quality links from very relevant and quality websites, do some guest posting in authority websites, get some infographics, slides, images and other audio-visual done and shared, amplify these with social media. [ Avoid directory submission, article submission, blog commenting, forum signatures, etc. (anything where you can "plant" a link on another site) which will get you penalized]
If you do it well and consistently, you can be sure of to get good ranking in appropriate time.
