The CMA is a very important designation. It is a prefessional certificate recognized worldwide. Encouraging people to obtain this kind of certification is a huge improvement for them as well as for the market. Now we come to the question of whether it is required in the market or not. Well, I, myself, am a CMA since the beginning of the year2000. Over the past three years I've been applying for jobs in the Gulf as well as anywhere else in the world. My CV is there in the databases of many job boards including Bayt. The bitter, mind-boggling and distasteful truth is that I've never received a job offer from anubody. Why? I can hardly tell. I apologize for saying this to the readers, but it is the truth.
CMA, Certified Management Accountant, has great importance and a pivotal role to play in controlling, analysing, correcting business operations with a view to increase the profits of a business, helping the top management in accurate and optimal decision making, helping the top management to decide the strategy of business to realise its long terms goals. It is very much required by the industry

Most of the times when you apply, there is a pre qualification crieteria mentioned by the company.
As per my experience, out of every10 jobs i apply ( in finance),7-8 demand that certification. ( excluding sales jobs)...
I think that this CMA has huge demand and weight. So if you want to pursue it. consider it as a long term goal. and fo it...
Its importance depends on yor career, i mean that you have to choose first which certificate suits you.
